"And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me."..."After the same manner also [He took] the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of Me." (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:25 KJV)
Every 1st Sunday of each month, we observe Holy Communion. This is our humble effort in keeping with His teachings in remembering Him often.
We recognize that the bread and cup are His body and blood. These are symbolic of the sacrifice He made for our sins by dying on Calvary's cross.Â
We also recognize how the grave could not hold Him down ("whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it." Act 2:24 NKJV) therefore we also celebrate His resurrection, and life more abundantly.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have [it] more abundantly." John 10:10 NKJV
We ask our CH_ _CH famILY to please bring a dish to share as we also give God thanks for those whose birthdays are within this new month.
